Privacy Policy

Last updated June 2026. Plain language, because trust matters here. You control your information and can opt out or ask us to delete it any time.

What we collect

When you fill out a form on this site, you may give us your name, email, city and state, the type of involvement you choose, and anything you write in the optional message or scripture fields. Some forms also collect a business name and website if you offer them. If you reserve a bridge or send a gift, the transaction is handled by the payment or messaging tool you use (for example Venmo), under that company's own privacy terms.

How we use your information

Joining is your choice. If you want to participate, you give us your email; if you don't, you don't. We use the information you share to respond to you, keep you informed about the mission and the Volusia Business Network community you are joining, match you with the right next step, and send the Volusia Voices newsletter. Our emails and newsletter may include sponsored or promotional content from coalition members and partners. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe.

How we share your information

We use trusted service providers to run the mission, including an email service provider and a newsletter platform, which process your information only to provide their service to us. Because Rainbow Bridge of Hope is part of the Volusia Business Network and the broader Ghost Factory ecosystem, we may share information within that ecosystem to serve the mission. We do not hand your personal details to unrelated outside companies for their own marketing; any sponsored content reaches you through us. We may disclose information when required by law, or in connection with a transfer of the mission or its assets. You can opt out or ask us to delete your information at any time.

Sensitive information

This is a suicide-prevention and grief-related mission, and you may choose to share personal or emotional details. Please share only what you are comfortable sharing. We treat anything you tell us with care and do not publish personal stories publicly without your clear permission.

Your choices and rights

You can unsubscribe from emails any time using the link in any message. You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing the address below. We will honor reasonable requests.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will remove it.

Cookies and analytics

We may use basic analytics to understand how the site is used so we can improve it. Any analytics are configured to be light-touch, and the site works whether or not they load.

Data security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the mission grows. Questions, or requests about your data, can go to Amber@VolusiaVoices.com. See also our Disclaimer & Terms of Use.

For the makers

When the last bridge sells, the mission doesn't end.

Paul made every bridge by hand. When the last of his finds a home, the inventory is gone — but the grieving pet owners don't stop arriving. The families don't stop needing something to hold.

We're looking for the next maker. A woodworker. A painter. A welder. A potter. A photographer. An illustrator. A sculptor. An artist of any medium who can build something a family keeps on their mantle for twenty years. You don't have to be Paul. Nobody can be. You can be the next chapter — under your own name, your own style, your own hands.

Photographers, illustrators, metalworkers, glass artists, weavers — the medium doesn't matter. The grief doesn't pick a form. Whatever you make, if it can carry someone's love for the animal they lost, this door is yours.
