For Pat and
the Allabaugh Family

A navigation guide for everything we built in Paul's memory.

Jason's Message

The video is the most important thing on this page.
Everything else is just details.

Pat, and to everyone in Paul's family,

This letter sits on a page Jason built for you, and only for you. The website address you have is special. The real address, rainbowbridgehope.com, is not public yet, and nothing on it moves forward without your word.

Jason asked me to write this letter because he knows you are overwhelmed. He knows that the last thing a grieving family needs is a stack of documents and a long list of things to review. So this isn't that. This is a guide. It tells you what to look at, in what order, and what you're being asked to say yes or no to.

You don't have to read everything. You don't have to understand every word. You don't have to respond tonight. You just have to know that everything here is for Paul, and nothing goes anywhere public until you say it can.

About the Money

Jason wants you to have full financial clarity before you agree to anything. Here is the plain version.

During the memorial phase

  • 100% of every dollar from Paul's bridge sales goes directly to you, Pat. His work, your money. No split.
  • For mission gifts that come in separately:
  • Gifts come into Amber Laird's Venmo and fund local operations (sites, hosting, shipping, the Coalition outreach Amber runs) and you, Pat, as needs arise.
  • No bridge dollar reaches Jason or our company. Ever.

Later, after Paul's bridges are sold

A new craftsman takes over the mission. When that happens:

  • The new craftsman keeps the majority share (their livelihood)
  • A portion funds the Ghost Factory mission arm (Volusia County suicide prevention outreach, Coalition operations)
  • A lifetime perpetuity share for you, Pat, as a legacy royalty for being the reason Rainbow Bridge of Hope exists. The exact percentage gets locked in the formal succession agreement we'll co-sign once Paul's bridges are all home. You choose who receives this share after you, forever.

Pat, you are part of this mission permanently.
Not as a one-time beneficiary. As an ongoing partner.

For the makers

When the last bridge sells, the mission doesn't end.

Paul made every bridge by hand. When the last of his finds a home, the inventory is gone — but the grieving pet owners don't stop arriving. The families don't stop needing something to hold.

We're looking for the next maker. A woodworker. A painter. A welder. A potter. A photographer. An illustrator. A sculptor. An artist of any medium who can build something a family keeps on their mantle for twenty years. You don't have to be Paul. Nobody can be. You can be the next chapter — under your own name, your own style, your own hands.

Photographers, illustrators, metalworkers, glass artists, weavers — the medium doesn't matter. The grief doesn't pick a form. Whatever you make, if it can carry someone's love for the animal they lost, this door is yours.
